For those that may not know how to, here’s a quick guide to utilizing the scallop public Testnet.
First you’d need to download and access the Scallop wallet on your device. Here’s how to:
- Step 1: Open "scallopchain.com"
- Step 2: Click on “Download Scallop Wallet” in the header.
- Step 3: Unzip the file on your device (should be in your downloads folder).
- Step 4: Open your chrome browser.
- Step 5: Click on three dots > more tools > Extensions.
- Step 6: Turn “Developer Mode” on.
- Step 7: Click on “Load Unpacked” and upload the unzipped file from your downloads folder.
- Step 8: Turn off “Developer Mode”.
- Step 9: Click on extensions and pin Scallop.
- Step 10: Click on Scallop Icon.
- Step 11: Complete your Sign up & KYC Process.
- Step 12: Follow the instructions as mentioned for your secret phase.
Your Scallop wallet is ready after following the steps above.
Now, here's how to use the Scallop faucet.
- Visit Scallop Faucet.
- Enter your wallet address to add funds to your wallet & click on submit.
Visit this link to validate your transaction.
How to add to Metamask:
1. Install and open your Metamask.
2. Click on “Add network"
3. Fill in the following RPC details & save.
- Network Name: Scallop Testnet.
- New RPC URL: https://testnet-api.scallopchain.com
- Chain ID: 9000
- Currency Symbol: UTSCLP
4. You will be able to see Scallop testnet and click on it.
5. Your UTSCLP funds will be available for viewing.
Now you can use the Scallop faucet to make limitless transactions securely and smoothly.
You can also whitelist your wallet.
This is important because even if you have UTSCLP tokens in your wallet, you will not be able to withdraw them unless your wallet is whitelisted.
Here’s how:
1. Open the whitelist page
2. Log in with your wallet credentials. If you don’t have credentials please download the extension app.
3. Open Metamask, and copy your address.
4. Paste your address and click on “Submit.”
5. Once whitelisted, you will be able to see your whitelisted address on the right.
